DI data subscriptions

When a meter has a DI agent running inside the meter, the agent performs analysis at the edge and produces DI data, events, and alarms. The meter sends this DI data, events, and alarms through the Itron network to the Itron head end. The data is subsequently pushed to a data subscription service or bus. The head end is the data publisher.

• As the data consumer, IEE subscribes to receive the DI data.

• IEE can subscribe to DI alarms that are pushed unsolicited and in real time through the network and head end. The alarms arrive almost immediately after they occur and are subsequently imported into IEE.

• IEE can also subscribe to DI outcome data and events. The outcome data and events are collected by the head end through the recurring interrogations and are subsequently pushed and imported into IEE.
